Liyang Hou is an associate professor of competition law at KoGuan Law School, Shanghai Jiao Tong University (China). He received a Bachelor of Law at Beijing Institute of Technology, a Master of Law at China University of Political Science and Law (Beijing), and an LLM (magna cum laude) and a Doctor of Law at Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (Belgium). He was formally a researcher the Interdisciplinary Centre for Law and ICT, Katholieke Universiteit Leuven. His research interest mainly focuses on competition law and telecommunications regulation both in China and in Europe. He has published extensively in leading journals and is a regular speaker at international conferences. He is a member of the Beijing Bar Association.
