The Federal Antimonopoly Service of Russia considered the application for the acquisition of Delivery Club food delivery by Yandex and approved it with the prescription, the press service of the agency said.
One of the requirements of the antimonopoly authority is the absence of any advantages for restaurants and delivery companies using the "Yandex.Food" service over other order aggregators. For partners of the services (restaurants) the prescription ensures that the amount and order of formation of remuneration will remain the same for three years from the date of the transaction.
"In addition, Yandex should not take measures aimed at refusing or reducing the use by restaurants of Delivery Club or other third-party services",
said FAS in a statement.
The Office also approved, with injunctions, VK's application for acquisition of news aggregator "News" and recommendation platform "Zen". The operator of these platforms will be obliged to request and obtain users' consent to process personal data for each service separately in cases provided by law.
According to“Vedomosti”, citing the forecasts of the Infoline analytical agency, the merger of the assets of Yandex.Lavka, Yandex.Eda and Delivery Slub will allow Yandex to take third place in terms of sales in the Russian grocery market after Sber with its own Sbermarket and Samokat and VkusVill.
