On September 12, the scientific conference entitled “Emerging Challenges of Competition Law and Policy in the BRICS and Beyond” took place in Cape Town (South Africa). The event was organized by the BRICS Competition Law and Policy Centre together with the University of Cape Town on the sidelines of the IX International BRICS Competition Conference, which wes held on September 9-11.
The event featured the launch of the report "From Fields to Futures: Competition, Financialization and Digitalization in Global Grain Value Chains" by the BRICS Centre and UNCTAD. The conference brought together competition authorities and academics to foster dialogue and search together for innovative solutions to the most pressing challenges of competition law and policy today.
