Russia’s Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) has asked major poultry and beef producers for data to assess recent price increases in the markets.
The producers must provide information on production and sales volumes, wholesale prices, total costs and profit margins for poultry and beef.
They must also explain the reasons behind increases in wholesale prices since the beginning of this year, according to a FAS press release.
Based on its analysis, the FAS may take antitrust enforcement measures if it finds grounds to do so.
