The agency is overseeing compliance with voluntary commitments made by retailers to cap prices on certain socially significant items.

The request targets chains that had previously received recommendations from the FAS to implement such measures. These include companies like X5 Group, Magnit, Dixy, Auchan, O'Key, Lenta, Metro, Selgros, Globus, Maria Ra, and Azbuka Vkusa.

Retailers are required to submit lists of products they are currently limiting markups on, along with sales data for these and other essential food items. The FAS also wants details on the number of regions where these voluntary commitments are in place, the maximum allowed markups, the duration of the commitments, and how consumers are being informed about them.

The FAS has voiced support for responsible retail practices, noting that limiting price hikes on key products has been helping to stabilize prices and improve affordability for consumers.
