The Federal Antimonopoly Service of the Russian Federation analyzed data on the cost of PCR tests for COVID-19 in Russian private companies and laboratories and did not find any pricing violations, the FAS press service issued the following comment to RIA Novosti. «The agency has requested and analyzed data on the cost of PCR tests for COVID-19. No pricing violations have been identified among private medical organizations. The corresponding report has been sent to the Russian government.”

FAS also noted that at present, the requirements for PCR testing are optimized by Rospotrebnadzor: for example, the obligation to pass tests twice for Russian citizens, who arrived from abroad, as well as the need to pass tests for vaccinated and recovered patients, was canceled.

Such measures, will at least halve the costs of citizens for testing - this is especially important during the summer vacation period.

The Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin previously instructed the FAS and Rospotrebnadzor to check the validity of the formation of prices for PCR tests in private medical organizations and commercial laboratories, the results of the work had to be reported to the government by July 19.
