FAS Russia Summarized the Results of Anti-Cartel Activities for the First Half of 2023

The FAS of Russia identified the most cartelized markets — road maintenance, security services, pharmaceuticals, construction and social nutrition markets.

In the first half of 2023, FAS of Russia initiated 139 cases of violation of antimonopoly legislation on the grounds of entering into agreements restricting competition, illegal coordination of economic activities and concerted actions. The Service issued 100 decisions on violation of antimonopoly legislation. 

According to preliminary estimates, the total amount of illegally gained income by participants in anticompetitive agreements amounted to 42 billion rubles. Violations were established by the FAS of Russia in 46 regions of the country.

Within the framework of monitoring and control over the implementation of national projects, the agency initiated 9 cases with the total amount of initial maximum contract prices (IMCP) of 5.6 billion rubles. The agency took 18 decisions on violation of antimonopoly legislation with the total amount of NMCK of 36.9 billion rubles. 

Violations were identified in the framework of the national projects "Safe Quality Roads", "Housing and Urban Environment", "Healthcare", "Demography", "Education", "Culture" and "Ecology."
