An appropriate proposal was made by the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS), which is already preparing its fifth package of amendments to the legislation. We are talking, among other things, about amending Article 19.5 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation, which defines sanctions for failure to comply with the orders of state bodies on time, Izvestia writes.
Reportedly, the department intends to double the fines for failure to comply with its decisions and orders within the specified period. Currently, for legal entities, they amount to 500 thousand rubles. Such a sanction could extend to disregard for demands to end the abuse of dominance and stop agreements that restrict competition.
So that the burden is not excessive, the FAS is going to establish a fine limit at 1/50 of the total revenue from the sale of all goods or services for the last year relative to the one in which the incident occurred. In cases where the order is not executed twice or more times, the service is invited to strengthen administrative responsibility.
