The service has sent relevant requests to 36 major retail chains and 2 online trading platforms.
The FAS of Russia has requested information on weighted average purchase and retail prices, as well as volumes of purchase and sale of certain food products for February 2025.
All commodity positions of 29 categories of food products will be subject to analysis. These include a basket of socially important food products of prime necessity, as well as tomatoes, cucumbers, pasta, hard, semi-hard and soft cheeses.
In case of revealing signs of unfair practices, the agency will take antimonopoly response measures and suppress the identified violations.
