SAMR released China's 2020 Antitrust Enforcement Report on September the 3rd. According to the information provided in the report, the majority of cases of abuse concerned abuse of authority in such socially significant areas as pharmaceuticals and education. Also on September 6th, the head of SAMR, Zhang Gong, at a conference of the Press Office of the State Council of the People's Republic of China, noted that the department is striving to unlock the innovative potential of Chinese society, while the State Council decided to launch pilot programs to improve the business environment. This week, Didi denied rumors spread in the press about the transfer of its stake in the company to the Beijing government.
