Meng Yang has served as Vice Minister of the State Administration for Market Regulation of the People's Republic of China since December 26, 2023, and is a member of the Communist Party of the People's Republic of China.
1987 - Graduated from the Management Department of Beijing Business School (now Beijing Technology and Business University) with a bachelor's degree in commercial enterprise management.
1990 - Received a master's degree in economics from the business school of the former Beijing Business School, specializing in economics (research area "Enterprise Management").
2004 - Traveled to Tibet from Beijing as the fourth cadre group of central government cadres to assist Tibet. Served as Deputy Secretary-General of the autonomous region government, and was also the leader of the second cadre group to assist Tibet. Three years later, Meng Yang was transferred from the fourth batch of cadres to assist Tibet to the fifth batch and continued to assist Tibet for the next three years.
2015 - Meng Yang was appointed to the position of Deputy Secretary General of the State Council, where he served until the end of 2023.
2023 - Transferred to the position of Vice Minister of the State Administration for Market Regulation of the People's Republic of China. Supervises the work of the Administrative Department, the Competition Policy Coordination Department, Antitrust Enforcement Division I, Antitrust Enforcement Division II.
