Apple has executed an order from Russia's Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) in a case concerning restrictions on applications in the App Store, reported the press service of the agency.

In August 2020. FAS found Apple in violation of antitrust law and issued an order to eliminate violations. According to the document, the company restricted the developers of mobile applications for parental control, which did not create competition in the market. The application was filed by the Russian IT company Kaspersky Lab.

At the end of 2022 the service received information from Apple about the execution of the order issued by the service in 2020. FAS Russia analyzed the information and concluded that it was properly executed in full.

"Apple has now adopted an additional agreement to the DPLA (Developer Program Licensing Agreement), which excludes the application of the clause on the non-admission of applications for Russian developers,"

the agency said on its website.

In addition, in the next version of iOS 15 Apple has added to the operating system Screen Time API (application programming interface) for parental control applications.

The Office has analyzed the capabilities of the interface and concluded that using this API developers can realize the technical capabilities that were previously lost. As a result, parental control apps can have an extensive functionality that competes with Apple's Screen Time app built into iOS.
