According to FAS Russia, Google is imposing unfavorable contract terms on mobile app developers.

The regulator found that Google LLC (which owns and manages the Google Play app store) obliged developers who distribute paid applications through the site to use Google's payment system exclusively.

FAS believes that the actions of Google LLС contain signs of abuse of dominant position, in connection with which the company was issued a warning. The company must comply with the requirements of the regulator within a month. Otherwise the agency has the right to initiate a case on violation of antimonopoly legislation.

The prohibition on the use of third-party payment systems is enshrined in the Rules of the Google Play Developer Program. In case of their violation, the application can be removed from the site or the possibility of updating it is blocked.
